Saint Leo and The Catholic Action Center

 

Since Covid, the participation of volunteers has gone down and needs have increased at the Catholic Action Center.  Here are some ways Saint Leo School is planning to help.

 

1.  Sandwich making project-  Students will make sandwiches for the CAC on Nov. 9- Grades 6 and 7, Jan 18- Grade 8, Feb. 8- Grades 4 and 5.   I will ask other grades to provide peanut butter, jelly, bread and snacks.  Any other Saint Leo group is also welcome to pick a date and email Ginny to let her know you are making sandwiches.

2. Sleeping Bag Drive-  The number of those living without a home has also increased.  With colder temps, the Compassion Caravan is in need of sleeping bags.

3.  After Nov 1st donations will be collected for the Catholic Action Center Christmas Store.    Drop off is on Saturdays from 11-2.  Volunteers are needed for sorting and setting up.  Volunteers are also needed to help at the store on Dec 20, 21, and 22.  More information to come about the location and times.
